| Our full-time Game Development course is also one year long, given in the mornings. It covers in great depth the 3D aspects specific to the gaming industry using Autodesk Max/Maya/Mudbox/MotionBuilder, and shows how to put everything together in an actual game using Unity3D. |

The aim of this course is to enable students to understand and effectively use specific 3D techniques adopted by the games industry, namely low-poly modelling, normal-mapping, texture unwrapping and animation retargeting.

| Specific Outcomes |
|
|
After developing proper game assets such as characters, vehicles and environments students will be able to put everything together in a game with the Unity3D engine.
To assist in this task the course will also cover game level design and the basics of programming with C#. After finishing the course students will have developed two small games, for PC and for the Apple iPhone/iPad platform.

| This course is targeted at students wanting to make a career in the games industry; ideally prospective students should already have knowledge of a 3d application such as Autodesk 3ds Max or Maya. |

| Course details, Costs and Application procedure |

The costs of each full-time course is R 45 600.00. This fee covers all course expenses including books and other training material. Student licenses may be purchased separately.
Applicants are requested to come for a personal interview, bringing the following information:
- Matric certificate/grade 12 or equivalent
- 1 Passport photograph
- A one page statement of intent, describing in your own words why you wish to pursue a career in the digital animation industry and why you would find yourself a suitable candidate.
- A creative portfolio for review
