Game Development with Max / Maya /
Mudbox / MotionBuilder / Unity3D

FULL TIME
- R 45 600.00.

Our full-time Game Development course is also one year long, given in the mornings. It covers in great depth the 3D aspects specific to the gaming industry using Autodesk Max/Maya/Mudbox/MotionBuilder, and shows how to put everything together in an actual game using Unity3D.

Course Objective

The aim of this course is to enable students to understand and effectively use specific 3D techniques adopted by the games industry, namely low-poly modelling, normal-mapping, texture unwrapping and animation retargeting.

Specific Outcomes

After developing proper game assets such as characters, vehicles and environments students will be able to put everything together in a game with the Unity3D engine.

To assist in this task the course will also cover game level design and the basics of programming with C#. After finishing the course students will have developed two small games, for PC and for the Apple iPhone/iPad platform.

Who should attend?
This course is targeted at students wanting to make a career in the games industry; ideally prospective students should already have knowledge of a 3d application such as Autodesk 3ds Max or Maya.
