The aim of these courses is to provide students with a functional working knowledge of Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Maya, Autodesk Composite, Adobe After Effects and V-Ray as well as a thorough understanding of their application into the different markets such as broadcast TV & film, game and design visualization, etc.

These courses are extremely comprehensive as all the major aspects of each piece of software are covered. As these programs are very extensive, students are expected to be committed to learning and not averse to doing extra homework. In fact, the passion for 3D in any of its aspects is one of the major requirements!

After finishing either or both of these courses students will have a complete understanding of the software and the workflow required to use it successfully.

Namely they will be able to create 3D models from templates or from scratch, give them a realistic look by means of properly creating and projecting textures, they will know how to generate a suitable lighting setup for the scene, give life to their models by animating them, and finally composite them into real video footage adding visual effects if necessary.

The costs of each full-time course is R 45 600.00. This fee covers all course expenses including books and other training material. Student licenses may be purchased separately.

Applicants are requested to come for a personal interview, bringing the following information:

• Matric certificate/grade 12 or equivalent
• 1 Passport photograph
• A one page statement of intent, describing in your own words why you wish to pursue a career in the digital animation industry and why you would find yourself a suitable candidate.
• A creative portfolio for review
